Is Moreland Podiatry a registered NDIS provider?

Yes, Moreland Podiatry is a registered NDIS provider of Podiatry & foot care services to eligible participants of the NDIS, that need podiatry support. Please contact us to discuss your goals and how we can help you.

Will you confirm my appointment?

Yes. We confirm all appointments 24 hours in advance.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No referral is needed for a standard consultation, simply call us and make an appointment. However, for DVA Gold Card, WorkCover, TAC or Medicare (under the Enhanced Primary Care program), you will need a referral from your GP.

Is Podiatry covered by Medicare?

Podiatry is only covered by Medicare for patients who are eligible for an Enhanced Primary Care plan, which must be obtained from your General Practitioner.  Not all patients are eligible for this funding so please consult your doctor to determine your eligibility. Eligible patients will have their visits bulk billed to Medicare and are limited up to five per calendar year.

Is it covered by Private Health Insurance or HICAPS?

Patients with Private Health Insurance with extras can access a rebate from their provider. Rebates will vary according to the fund and type of cover. To find out how much you are entitled to, contact your Private Health Insurance provider.
HICAPS is available to patients’ whose Private Health Insurance provider supports HICAPS. Patients can claim their rebate at the time of their consultation and will only need to pay the gap.

Is Moreland Podiatry a part of the Bupa Members First Network?

Yes! Moreland Podiatry is proud to be a Bupa Members First Provider.  Eligible members can receive between 60% – 100% back on consultation items depending on their level of cover. Benefits payable are subject to Bupa’s fund rules, waiting periods and annual limits. Please contact your fund for more information.

Do I need to bring my medical history?

No. But if you are suffering from foot and lower limb pain, please bring in any x-rays, shoes or old orthotics you may have.

Can you arrange a home visit?

If a patient is unable to attend the clinic we may be able to conduct a home visit depending on the circumstances. Please request a home visit when you call to make your appointment.  Home visit fees will apply.

Are your Podiatrists / Clinics multilingual?

Yes. We also speak Greek and Italian.

How often do I need to visit a podiatrist?

There’s no standard period of time recommended between visits. How often you consult a Podiatrist will depend on the health of your feet. Our highly trained Podiatrists will advise you if you require a follow up consultation.
