what is your running style? runner on steps

Most people have slight differences in the way their feet work such as what part of their foot strikes the ground first. Here are common running styles and the shoes that match that style.

Pronation

This style is when the runner wears the central part of the ball of the foot and a small portion of the outside of the shoe. Usually these types of runners exhibit mild to moderate pronation with medium to low arch.

These types of runners need a stability shoe to stabilise the inward natural roll of the foot by reinforcing the arch in the midsole of the shoe.

Overpronation

Overpronation is when you are prone to wear the medial side or inside edge of your footwear. Usually these types of runners strike the ground and then roll inwards excessively.

They are typically someone who has a flat foot or a very low arch. These types of runners need a motion control shoe. These shoes offer stiffer heels and a straight last to counter the over pronation.

Supination

This is also known as under pronation it is when you are prone to wear the outside of the footwear. Usually these types of runners strike the ground with the outside of their heel first and instead of rolling inward, they stay on the outside of their entire foot through the entire step.

This type of running style usually exhibits a medium to high arch and needs a neutral shoe as they can guide the lateral (outside) pressure inwards by supporting your arch with cushioning.
